THE MARINE TEAM
The oceans are needlessly being harmed on a daily basis. In today’s ever-changing world, those tasked with conserving our planet’s resources are members of an elite squad: The Marine Team. This educational incursion engages grade 5-9 school students in marine science and innovation to achieve long-term sustainability of our oceans.
The Marine Team is a 40 minute, live-on-film performance that consists of two professional actor/educators with two goals. The first goal is to highlight what is ocean sustainability, how oceans impact our planet, solutions that generate healthy oceans and how YOU can help embrace innovative ocean technology. The second goal is to make your students laugh so hard that they forget they’re learning!
The program is a series of improvised comedy sketches between characters in all sorts of hilarious situations. Taking suggestions from our live audience, the actors make your students feel like they're right there in the room!

Perform Education Virtual Incursion
Due to COVID-19 government imposed restrictions, Perform Education offer VIRTUAL INCURSIONS during 2021!
Our performances are captured live-on-film with multi-cameras and in high definition - so everyone watches from the best seat in the house. The performance also includes interactive segments with questions, activities and guided discussions, allowing your students to dig deep into the key learning points while being active, engaged and having fun!
After the performance teachers and students can access the online educational portal where they can watch a selection of Q&A videos, and also schedule a live-stream chat with our performers and creatives, enabling your students to answer questions, ask questions of their own, and be heard. Included in the online educational portal is a trove of digital resources and games that can be accessed either from school or home all year so the fun doesn't stop.
Hosting a Perform Education Virtual Incursion means your whole school can be involved whether having a large group viewing, classroom by classroom sessions, or watching individually from home.
